LinkedIn Routine for Busy Days

Learn how I maximize growth in just 20 minutes a day.

I’ve engaged on LinkedIn almost daily for 445 days.

Initially, I’d spend many hours each day. But with time, your LinkedIn routine evolves.

Sometimes for the better, and sometimes, you must prioritize something else (e.g. client work, life situations).

LinkedIn can be time-consuming—there’s always something to do:

  • Replying to comments

  • Writing posts

  • Leaving comments on others’ content

  • Managing DMs

  • The list goes on…

LinkedIn can easily take over your day.

This can also come with many frustrations. For instance, you might spend all this time and energy with nothing to show.

No follower growth. Low engagement on your posts.

(you can probably picture the path to burning out and quitting, yeah?)

Today, we’re making sure you don’t burn out and quit.

I’ve learned to keep LinkedIn manageable—even during the busiest work and life seasons.

Today, I want to share the 20-minute LinkedIn routine that keeps me consistent, growing, and not burned out.

I’ll clarify two things:

  1. There are things you can do if you have more time. But this routine gets the job done if you’re short on time or energy.

  2. You should still have your content scheduled already (can’t cover how to do this efficiently here, or it’d get long).

The 20-Minute LinkedIn Routine

Step 1: Engage with your community (3 min)

  • Reply to comments on your posts. These are your people—show up for them.

Step 2: “Boost” your post (2 min)

  • Pin a comment that adds value or context to your last post. The algorithm loves that you’re active and pushes your post a bit.

Step 3: Expand your reach (10 min)

  • Comment authentically on 5 posts from top creators in your niche.

Step 4: Manage your conversations (5 min)

  • Reply to relevant DMs (skipping the pitches).

This covers the basics, and you can go on with your day.

If you're swamped, you can even split this into two 10-minute sessions between meetings. Don’t overthink it.

If you have more time, focus on warm outreach: it isn’t cringy, and most opportunities come from those relationships anyway.

The Bottom Line

Some days, you’ll have more time to invest. That’s when you can double down.

But when time is short? Use this routine, and LinkedIn will work for you.

If you’d like personalized guidance to grow on LinkedIn more effectively—or prefer to have me handle it for you—here’s your link.

That’s all for today. See you next week.

p.s. This is my first email after the email platform change. I hope this arrived OK!
